NHL-kausi 1962–1963
NHL-kausi 1962–1963 oli National Hockey Leaguen historian 46. kausi. Sen aikana kuusi NHL-joukkuetta pelasi kukin 70 runkosarjaottelua.[1] Stanley Cupin voitti toisen kerran peräkkäin Toronto Maple Leafs, joka kukisti finaalisarjassa Detroit Red Wingsin otteluvoitoin 4–1.[2][3]
Runkosarjan pistepörssin, Art Ross Trophyn ja Hart Memorial Trophyn voitti Detroit Red Wingsin Gordie Howe.[4] Hän keräsi 70 ottelussa yhteensä 86 tehopistettä, joista 38 oli maaleja ja 48 syöttöpisteitä.[5] Howe voitti myös pudotuspelien pistepörssin tehtyään 11 ottelussa 16 tehopistettä, joista 7 oli maaleja ja 9 maaliin johtaneita syöttöjä. Myös Howen tavoin Detroitia edustanut Norm Ullman keräsi pudotuspeleissä 16 tehopistettä. Ullmanin tehot muodostuivat 4 maalista ja 12 maalin johtaneesta syötöstä.[6]
Parhaaksi tulokkaaksi ja Calder Memorial Trophyn saajaksi arvostettiin Toronto Maple Leafsin Kent Douglas.[7] Parhaalle puolustajalle annettava James Norris Memorial Trophy puolestaan myönnettiin Chicago Black Hawksin Pierre Pilotelle.[8]
