What is the National Board of Antiquities?

Our unit, the Museum Sector Development, is responsible for the general development of the Finnish museum field, contractual control of the regional operation of museums, the distribution of state funding, and the maintenance of museum-related statistics. Additionally, it promotes cooperation between museums, counselling and organising training as well as nationally supporting the development of museums' data systems.
