Perustelut: Photo from Harcourt Stutio taken in 1957 and still copyrighted in France (70 years after publication for collective works). It is not clear when this can be undeleted as there are several things to consider. The image is from a negative, so it is not clear if this was ever published (the copyright protection for anonymous works is based on publication date instead of creation). Searching for Harcourt images in eBay didn't show this particular one, and a Google search only points to this one as published in 1957. The other issue is URAA and the fact that the copyright is owned by the French government. I leave the decision on the undeletion date to the closing admin.

This work is in the public domain in France for one of the following reasons:
  • Its author (or the last of its authors in the case of a collaboration work) died more than 70 years ago (CPI art. L123-1) and did not benefit from any copyright extension (CPI art. L123-8, L123-9 and L123-10)[1];
  • It is an anonymous or pseudonymous work (the identity of the author has never been disclosed) or a collective work[2] and more than 70 years have passed since its publication (CPI art. L123-3);
