Ben Affleck
Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt (s. 15. elokuuta 1972 Berkeley, Kalifornia, Yhdysvallat) on yhdysvaltalainen Oscar-palkittu näyttelijä, elokuvakäsikirjoittaja ja -ohjaaja.

Affleckin näyttelijän ura alkoi jo lapsena, jolloin hän esiintyi PBS-kanavalla esitetyssä televisiosarjassa sekä useissa televisioelokuvissa. Varsinaisen näyttelijän uran Affleck aloitti 1990-luvulla, jolloin hän esiintyi useissa merkittävissä elokuvissa. Affleckin varsinainen läpimurto koitti vuoden 1997 jälkeen, jolloin Affleck sai Oscar-palkinnon yhdessä Matt Damonin kanssa elokuvakäsikirjoituksestaan elokuvaan Will Hunting. Affleck on myös ohjannut elokuvan nimeltä Gone Baby Gone, jonka pääosaa näyttelee hänen pikkuveljensä Casey Affleck. Affleck sai toisen Oscar-palkintonsa ohjaamastaan ja yhdessä Grant Heslovin ja George Clooneyn kanssa tuottamastaan elokuvasta Argo.

Affleckilla on irlantilais-englantilais-saksalais-skotlantilaiset sukujuuret.[1]
Affleck avioitui näyttelijä Jennifer Garnerin kanssa vuonna 2005. Kesäkuussa 2015 pariskunta ilmoitti eroavansa ja lopullinen ero myönnettiin kesällä 2017. Heillä on kolme lasta.[2] Affleck kärsii päihdeongelmista ja on ollut vuosina 2001–2018 ollut kolmasti vieroitushoidossa.[3]
