Bercow syntyi Edgware, Middlesexissä Brenda (Bailey) ja taksinkuljettaja Charles Bercowin perheeseen. Bercow attended Frith Manor Primary School in [[Woodside Park (Barnet, London)|Woodside Park]], and [[The Compton School|Finchley Manorhill]], a large [[comprehensive school]] in [[North Finchley]].
