Remember the red suitcase? Well, as promised, here's the truth behind the contents. A colleague in work has had to bring her increasingly frail Dad a little closer to home, and this involved clearing his home. Not nice. Amongst the gems unearthed were three folding cameras. Two were Kodak 3A models, and this one, which I think is a bit newer, is a lovely Voigtlander Avus - dating I think from the early thirties. The bellows are in good order, and all the mechanical bits seem to work. It even comes with some natty extras like a roll film adaptor. I've no idea if they're worth anything, but I hope it's not much as otherwise I'll have to give them back! |
