Steel Pulse

Steel Pulse on englantilainen roots reggae -yhtye. Se syntyi alun perin Handsworth Wood Boys School -nimisessä koulussa, Birminghamissa, jossa asuu paljon erityisesti jamaikalaisia maahanmuuttajia.

Yhtyeen jäsenet ovat:

• David Hinds (laulu, kitara)
• Basil Gabbidon (s. Basil Glendon Gabbidon, 29. lokakuuta 1955, Buff Bay, Jamaika - kitara, laulu)
• Ronald McQueen (basso)

Hinds lauluntekijänä on aina ollut yhtyeen johtohahmo alkuaikojen Birminghamin yökerhokeikoista lähtien. Steel Pulse osallistui RAR (Rock Against Rasicm)-kampanjaan. Yhtye on muutenkin poliittisesti aktiivinen. Yhtyeen singlen Hold on (for Haiti) tuotot annetaan Haitin klinikoille.
