Prelude to the Millennium: Essentials of Symphony on progressiivisen metalliyhtyeen Symphony X:n kokoelma-albumi vuodelta 1999. Se sisältää valikoituja kappaleita yhtyeen neljältä ensimmäiseltä studioalbumilta. Yhtyeen ensimmäiseltä albumilta Symphony X:ltä ei kuitenkaan ole alkuperäistä versiota, vaan albumin ensimmäinen kappale "Masquerade" on uudelleennauhoitettu Russell Allenin kanssa.
