Big Brother and the Holding Company
Big Brother and the Holding Company oli sanfranciscolainen rockyhtye, joka vaikutti lähinnä 1960-luvulla. Vuonna 1965 perustettu yhtye tuli kuuluisaksi oikeastaan laulajansa Janis Joplinin avulla. Big Brotherin albumi Cheap Thrills ilmestyi vuonna 1968, ja siitä tuli jättimenestys. Joplinin lähdettyä yhtye yritti vielä jatkaa uraansa, mutta se hajosi pian How Hard It Is -levyn ilmestymisen jälkeen. 1980-luvulla Big Brother kasattiin uudelleen ja se on tehnyt kiertueita uuden kitaristin ja laulajan kanssa.
