Tyttökullat (The Golden Girls) on Susan Harrisin luoma yhdysvaltalainen komediasarja, joka kertoo kolmesta temperamenttisesta keski-ikäisestä ja yhdestä kahdeksankymppisestä naisesta Miamissa. Sarjaa kuvattiin Yhdysvalloissa vuosina 1985–1992. Sarjaa on ollut käsikirjoittamassa myös Marc Cherry, joka on luonut sarjan Täydelliset naiset.

Dorothy Zbornak muokkaa
Dorothy Zbornak (o.s. Petrillo) on kotoisin Brooklynista. Hänen isänsä Salvadore Petrillo on kuollut, mutta Dorothyn äiti Sophia on elossa. Sophia kutsuu tytärtään lempinimellä kisuli (eng. pussycat). Dorothylla on myös veli nimeltään Phil ja pikkusisko Gloria. Phil on transvestiitti eikä paljonkaan tekemisissä Dorothin kanssa. Dorothy on ollut naimisissa Stanley Zbornakin kanssa ja sen jälkeen eronnut, nykyään hänet tunnetaan sinkkunaisena, jolla on ollut muutama suhde. Opiskeluaikoina Dorothy oli harvoin pojan? kanssa yhdessä. Dorothy on ammatiltaan äidinkielen opettaja, jolla on lähinnä sijaisopettajan pestejä.
Rose Nylund muokkaa
Rose Nylund (o.s. Lindstrom) on kotoisin minnesotalaisesta maalaiskaupungista St. Olafista. Rose tunnetaan siitä, että hän on hyvä kertomaan uskomattomia tarinoita kotikaupungistaan St. Olafista, joita monikaan ei uskoisi todeksi, ja joita moni ei jaksaisi kuunnella. St. Olaf on skandinaavisen idiotismin keskus, josta riittää loputtomia tarinoita yllättävän läheisesti koskien myös nykyajan kriisejä. Rose on höpsö, ja hänelle sattuu usein jotain noloa tai hän nolaa asuinkumppaninsa. Rose ei osaa lukea rivien välistä, eikä hän ymmärrä sarkasmia, jota hän kuulee varsinkin Dorothylta. Jaksossa Nice & Easy Rose kertoo, että hänellä on lahja puhua eläinten kanssa. Rose on ollut naimisissa, mutta jäänyt leskeksi. Rose on töissä neuvontakeskuksessa.
Blanche Devereaux muokkaa
Blanche Devereaux (o.s. Hollingsworth) on alun perin kotoisin Atlantasta, mutta muutti Miamiin kun jäi leskeksi. Blanche ja Dorothy ovat neljästä asuinkumppanista useimmiten selväpäisimmät. Blanche käy usein treffeillä, mutta vakavaa parisuhdetta hän ei ole onnistunut luomaan.
Sophia Petrillo muokkaa
Sophia Petrillo on Dorothyn yli 80-vuotias äiti, joka muuttaa sarjan ensimmäisessä jaksossa tyttärensä luokse asumaan, koska hänen vanhainkodissaan Shady Pinesissa on sattunut tulipalo. Sophia on syntyperältään ylpeä sisilialainen, ja Sophialla onkin tapana kertoa asuinkumppaneilleen sangen uskomattomia ja välillä keksittyjäkin tarinoita nuoruudestaan ja elämästään köyhässä sisilialaiskylässä. Sophia muutti Sisiliasta vuonna 1920 Yhdysvaltoihin ja asettui asumaan Brooklyniin, New Yorkiin aviomiehensä Salvadore Petrillon kanssa. Sophia ja Salvadore saivat kolme lasta: Dorothyn, Glorian ja Philin. Sophia on selvinnyt aivoinfarktista, jonka sanotaan kuitenkin muokanneen hänen aivotoimintaansa siten, että Sophia ei kykene enää kontrolloimaan puhettaan, vaan sanoo suoraan kaiken mitä milloinkin ajattelee. Tämä piirre onkin ehdottomasti Sophian näkyvin, sillä hänet tunnetaan juuri suorasukaisista kommenteistaan ja vitseistään, joita hän viljelee varsinkin asuinkumppaneistaan.
