James Francis Stephens

James Francis Stephens (16. syyskuuta 1792 Lontoo – 22. joulukuuta 1852 Lontoo) oli englantilainen eläintieteilijä.
Stephens työskenteli meriministeriön toimistossa Somerset Housessa 1807–1845. Vapaa-aikanaan hän avusti William Elford Leachia British Museumin hyönteiskokoelman järjestämisessä. Hän keräsi itselleen laajan hyönteiskokoelman, jonka hän virastaan luovuttuaan myi British Museumille.
1833 hän oli perustamassa Royal Entomological Society of Londonia ja toimi seuran puheenjohtajana 1837–1838.
Hyönteisten ohella Stephens tutki myös lintuja, ja nimesi viitarastaan (Catharus fuscescens) 1817.[1]
