Giancarlo Esposito

Giancarlo Giuseppe Alessandro Esposito (s. 26. huhtikuuta 1958 Kööpenhamina, Tanska) on yhdysvaltalainen näyttelijä. Hänet tunnetaan parhaiten roolistaan Gustavo ”Gus” Fringinä suositussa televisiosarjassa Breaking Bad sekä sen spin-off-sarjassa Better Call Saul. Hän on voittanut parhaan miessivuosan palkinnon vuoden 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awardseissa Breaking Badista.

Esposito tunnetaan hyvin rooleistaan Spike Leen elokuvissa kuten Do the Right Thing – kuuma päivä, Koulupäivät sekä Mo ’Better Blues. Muita merkittäviä elokuvia ovat Fresh, Harley Davidson ja Marlboro-mies, Epäillyt ja New Yorkin kuningas. Hän on näytellyt myös Olipa kerran -sarjassa sekä Revolution-sarjassa.

Esposito syntyi Kööpenhaminassa Giovanni Espositolle, italialaiselle näyttämöavustajalle ja puusepälle Napolista ja Elizabeth Fosterille, afroamerikkalaiselle ooppera- ja yökerholaulajalle Alabamasta. Hänet kasvatettiin Euroopassa 6-vuotiaaksi asti, jolloin hänen perheensä asettui Manhattaniin New Yorkiin.
