Chris Norman (s. 25. lokakuuta 1950 Redcar, Yorkshire, Englanti) on brittiläinen rockmuusikko. Norman nousi tunnetuksi 1970-luvun puolivälissä suosioon nousseen Smokien laulajana. Myös vuoden 1978 duetto "Stumblin' in" yhdessä Suzi Quatron kanssa menestyi singlelistoilla. Jätettyään Smokien 1980-luvun alussa Norman on julkaissut edelleen jatkuvalla soolourallaan useita albumeita.

Chris Norman syntyi 25. lokakuuta 1950 Redcarissa, Yorkshiressa.[1] Hänen isovanhempansa ja vanhempansa olivat viihde-esiintyjiä.[2]

Norman alkoi soittaa kitaraa 13-vuotiaana.[2] Hän aloitti muusikonuransa vuonna 1965 perustetussa Smokiessa, joka useiden nimenvaihtojen jälkeen sai nykyisen nimensä 1970-luvun puolivälissä.[1] Norman lauloi ja soitti kitaraa yhtyeessä. Hänen esikuviaan 1960-luvun puolivälissä olivat The Beatles ja The Rolling Stones. Norman kertoo saaneensa tunnusomaisen karhean lauluäänensä laulettuaan paljon savuisissa klubeissa ja karjuttuaan kuin Little Richard.[2] Smokie nousi kansainväliseen suosioon toisella albumillaan Changing All the Time (1975). Smokien albumien lomassa Norman sai vuonna 1978 soolohitin laululla ”Stumblin’ In” yhdessä Suzi Quatron kanssa.[1]

Norman jätti Smokien 1980-luvun alussa ja aloitti soolouransa albumilla Rock Away Your Teardrops (1982). Hänen toinen sooloalbuminsa Some Hearts Are Diamonds (1986) tuotti suuren singlehitin ”Midnight Lady”. Norman on saanut singlemenestystä 1980-luvun lopulta alkaen erityisen paljon Saksassa. Hän on julkaissut uuden sooloalbumin parin vuoden välein.[1]
