Tägtgren on tuottanut lukuisten tunnettujen yhtyeiden, kuten [[Dimmu Borgir]]in, [[Immortal]]in, [[Children of Bodom]]in, [[Amorphis]] ja [[Sabaton]]in albumeja omistamassaan The Abyss -studiossaanstudiossa. Tägtgren on myös laulanut [[Bloodbath]]-yhtyeen albumilla ''Nightmares Made Flesh''.
Tägtgren aloitti rumpujen soittamisen yhdeksänvuotiaana, ja myöhemmin hän opetteli soittamaan [[kitara]]a, [[bassokitara|bassoa]] ja [[kosketinsoitin|kosketinsoittimia]]. Kun Tägtrenin ensimmäinen yhtye Conquest hajosi, hän päätti muuttaa [[Yhdysvallat|Yhdysvaltoihin]]. Siellä hän tutustui [[death metal]]iin [[Malevolent Creation]]in kitaristin Phil Fascianan kautta ja päätti, että hänellä olisi levytyssopimus vuoden sisällä.
[[Pain]]in albumin äänitysten aikana hänen sydämensä lopetti lyömisen muutaman minuutin ajaksi{{Lähde}}, mikä inspiroi häntä kirjoittamaan kappaleen ”Dancing with the Dead”.
Vuonna 2015 hän perusti [[industrial metal]] yhtyeen Lindemann yhdessä [[Rammstein|Rammsteinin]] laulajan Till Lindemannin kanssa.
