20. heinäkuuta 2016 yhtyeen YouTube-kanavalle julkaistiin video, jossa soi albumin nimikkokappale Welcome to the Black Parade valkoisen lipun taustalla. Videon lopussa näkyi päivämäärä 9/23/16, fanit olettivat yhtyeen palaavan kiertueelle. [2]

Yhtyeen A&R-henkilö, Craig Aaronson kuoli 29. heinäkuuta 2014. Albumi julkaistiin hänen muistokseen. [3]
