Suomi: Väliaikamerkkikone oli eräänlainen viisikielinen konekantele, jossa ratasmekanismiin kiinnitetyt näppäimet soittivat lyhyen sävelmän. Sävelmän ehdotti ja sovitti vuonna 1930 fil.tri A. O. Väisänen. Laitteen on suunnitellut sellotaiteilija Eero Selin. Kuvausaika arvioitu vuosikymmenen tarkkuudella.
English: The time signal machine was a kind of five-stringed mechanical kantele, in which the keys attached to the gear mechanism played a short melody. The melody was suggested and arranged in 1930 by Ph.D. A. O. Väisänen. The device was designed by cellist Eero Selin. The time of the photograph is estimated to the accuracy of a decade.
