The Sound

The Sound oli brittiläinen post-punk-yhtye, joka vaikutti vuosina 1978–1987. Se kehittyi keulahahmonsa Adrian Borlandin edellisestä yhtyeestä The Outsidersista.

Jäsenet

• Yhtyeen laulaja, kitaristi, keulahahmo ja pääasiallinen lauluntekijä oli Adrian Borland. Hän teki itsemurhan 26. huhtikuuta 1999.
• Alun perin kosketinsoittajana toimi Benita ”Bi” Marshall, joka soitti myös saksofonia ja klarinettia.
• Colvin ”Max” Mayers korvasi Bi Marshallin vuonna 1981. Hän on kuollut yhtyeen hajoamisen jälkeen.
• Graham Green eli Graham Bailey – basso
• Michael ”Mike” Dudley – rummut
